The A Tutta Jersey is built using our new Competizione 2 base jersey. We’ve updated the construction with the side panels that finish in the pockets. We’ve updated the fabrics so that the back doesn’t stretch too long when you load up the pockets. And we’ve updated the sleeve fabric as well as the fit, maintaining super-stretchy fabrics for a great fit on any body shape without feeling too tight. We’ve given the A Tutta Jersey a fade effect built of diamond shapes that highlights the texture of the fabrics and the cut of the jersey. The first aero jersey project was called Split Second When Castelli engineered the first aero jersey for road racing back in 2006, everyone thought we were crazy. Back then, aero was only for TTS. Performance clothing meant moisture management. And you could win the Tour de France with a baggy jersey that was little more than a polyester t-shirt. Even our aerodynamic consultants expected limited gains, so we named the jersey split second, though, like now, we thought even small gains were worth pursuing. In the end the gains were pretty substantial, and we completely revolutionized the look of the pro peloton. We're now on the sixth major revision of our aero jersey. Each generation has become more aero and better fitting. The aero race 6. 0 benefits heavily from CFD analysis of wake flow in the riding position for fabric and seam placement. It also benefits from pro riders' feedback, as we've worked to make the jersey comfortable for their long hours of training and then racing in every possible weather condition. Version 6.0 is our most aero and most comfortable aero race jersey yet. It uses a brand-new fabric that lets us cross-dye it to give a richer depth of color to the shoulders and sides on an otherwise solid-colored jersey. Prologue or Pro Logo The Prologo name is Italian for "prologue," the opening salvo in a Grand Tour. But many of our customers pronounce it like "Pro Logo." And we don't mind at all. The Prologo Jersey, now in its sixth generation, does feature a big logo, but more than that it brings a lot of tech directly from our experience with pro racing. The fabric is remarkably soft yet stretchy and features bioceramic nanoparticles added to the fused polymer, which reflect far infrared light to both protect you from hot sun and help the body keep itself warm. The construction also borrows a lot of cues from pro racing: the same drop-tail construction that helps the jersey sit right around the waist while allowing generous pockets that sit lower on the back, the wraparound side panels that ventilate the back without letting in too much air from the front, and the easy-sliding YKK Vislon zipper.
